The Philosophy of the Creative Action Network
This year the membership of C.A.N completely changed; We are currently discussing what we believe C.A.N is about and what we feel it should represent, so watch this space!
How is C.A.N organised?
The Creative Action Network was formed in September 2003.
We believe that a dispersed network is more important than a united front: celebrating the values we have in common but also respecting each other's differences.
We organise through a process of collective agreement. Small groups meet regularly through the network. This pooling of creative intelligence ensures larger scale projects are feasible.
Our 'horizontal structure' also applies to interactions with community. We seek to enable and promote individual creative expression. C.A.N is committed to working with all people.
We are a 'not-for-profit' organisation.
